During a meeting with the chairman and the prosecutor, the chairman admits to all the charges against him. However, In-ha and their lawyer give the prosecutor a pen drive filled with incriminating details about the legal system, prepared by Tae-oh.
Soon, district attorneys hear the news and the chairman is let go without any charges in a deal. The prosecutor is forced to leave his job and becomes the scapegoat, just as Tae-oh predicted.
In-ha joins the Kang-oh group officially and the public likes him as a new face. This worries the older Kang siblings. Tae-oh is promoted to Division Director and In-ha to Chief Manager.

Seung-joo feels very upset but hides his feelings.
Meanwhile, In-ju finds out about Tae-oh's and In-ha's connection.
The next morning, the chairman talks to Tae-oh about selling Kang Oh Tech One, which is not doing well. A Chinese company tried to steal its technology, so the chairman wants to sell it quickly and puts In-ha in charge of the sale.
That evening, Hye-won and In-ha go to the beach where In-ha proposes to her. Tae-oh feels awkward when In-ha texts him about their marriage plans.

Tae-oh and In-ha prepare to talk to the buyer of Kang Oh Tech One, Daejong Innovation, which is owned by Hee-chan’s family. Two new employees come to help, trusted by In-ha but doubted by Tae-oh.
Elsewhere, Hye-won gets a better job offer from a congressman’s aide and talks about it with Tae-oh. Tae-oh realizes she is engaged to In-ha now. A man takes pictures of their meeting but deletes them later. Hye-won regrets choosing In-ha over Tae-oh for a moment.
On the negotiation day, Hee-chan leads the meeting for Daejong. He isn’t interested in the original deal and wants a 30% discount and no promise to keep the current workers. At the same time, tensions are rising, and a subtle rift forms between Tae-oh and In-ha. Tae-oh suspects one of In-ha’s team members and tells him to go home, but In-ha insists that he stays.
Eventually, In-ha resorts to his time-slip tactics. He plans to have IM falsely signal to Daejong that they are interested in buying Kang Oh Tech One, suggesting that a price war might soon erupt. IM agrees to cooperate for free because In-ha threatens to expose their technology leak during a negotiation with another buyer.
If news of IM’s wrongdoing were to leak, they could lose their deal, so they agree to help. Tae-oh worries that exploiting someone’s weakness could cause more problems, but In-ha is determined.
Soon, the plan works and Daejong falls into the trap. They agree to buy Kang Oh at a 13% profit, including taking over its employees.
However, the chairman is angry about how In-ha handled the situation. He blames Tae-oh because In-ha had to do the dirty work himself, which in the chairman's view, was In-ha’s fault. He tells them to keep a low profile until the deal is officially signed.
Later, the chairman shares his concerns about In-ha, mentioning that In-ha is too much like him. He wanted someone fresh and different, not someone who operates as he does. Tae-oh suggests that the chairman should express these concerns directly to In-ha so he understands what is expected of him.
The deal is finally signed. Meanwhile, Hee-chan seeks In-ju's help to convince Hee-ju to marry him, otherwise, Hee-chan’s father won't transfer communication rights to him. In-ju agrees to help, but for a price.
Later, In-ha is playing basketball when Tae-oh joins him. in ha leaves abruptly when the chairman calls him, and Tae-oh continues playing alone until a mysterious figure strikes him from behind.
