It turns out that In-ha meets with Joong-mo, who bluntly tells him that he will remove In-ha from the inheritance list and that he knows In-ha killed In-ju. Joong-mo suddenly has a heart attack, and In-ha leaves him struggling and falls into the bathtub. He just walks away, but luckily, Hee-ju finds Joong-mo in time and takes her father to the hospital. The Kang family arrives at the hospital and is informed that Chairman Joong-mo's condition is very critical. Meanwhile, Tae-oh returns to the chairman's office and seems to be preparing a plan. At home, In-ha realizes that there might be a secret room in the chairman's office and goes to check. He indeed finds the room and concludes that Tae-oh has been there. Meanwhile, Tae-oh meets with Prosecutor Ha - the person Tae-oh had falsely accused to help the chairman escape embezzlement charges. He explains about the mobile phone evidence of Shin Bona, In-ju’s mistress, and promises to bring Ha back to Seoul. Meanwhile, uWan sees the two meeting, but this time he decides to help Tae-oh and not inform In-ha. Prosecutor Ha reluctantly agrees to help Tae-oh. Ha sneaks into the evidence room and takes the phone. Ha then takes it to a technician to unlock it but finds nothing in the photos and videos section. He hands the phone to Tae-oh, who opens another folder and finds all the evidence there. Videos show that on that night Tae-oh is completely unconscious after being drugged, In-ju and Bona are high and acting crazy. Later, Gi-jun arrives and kills them, and after a while, In-ha also arrives at the scene. The prosecutor brings the evidence to the Prosecution Office, and the chief prosecutor finally allows him to reopen the case. However, Tae-oh asks him to cut the video and only show the chief prosecutor the scene where Gi-jun kills In-ju and Bona because Tae-oh decides to prioritize dealing with Gi-jun first and keep In-ha’s complicity a secret for now. At the same time, Tae-oh also goes to the police station to turn himself in while Prosecutor Ha quickly obtains a warrant to arrest Gi-jun at Kang-oh. Guem-seok reads the news and is thrilled as the obstacles are gradually eliminating each other, and she and her son are on the path to success. She is determined to make Seong-ju the CEO of the corporation. At the prison, Chu Hyuk-jin comes to meet Tae-oh, it turns out he is ordered by Joong-mo to become Tae-oh’s lawyer. Meanwhile, In-ha is trying to pull Park Sa-jin back to his side, but Sa-jin refuses because he knows that as soon as the chairman wakes up, In-ha will be out of the game. Meanwhile, Mo Gi-jun takes all the charges for killing In-ju and Bona with the reason that they mistreat and abuse him. In prison, Tae-oh tells Mr. Tak about a company called Gold H Investment. Tae-oh created this company to make In-ha the chairman, something In-ha himself was completely unaware of. Tae-oh asks Tak if he wants to join a real bet.
Tak is released from prison the next day, and Hye-won meets him shortly thereafter, proposing that Tak impersonate Michael Chang, the founder of Gold H Investment. Soon after, uWan also joins them. It turns out that right when Mo Gi-jun was arrested, uWan had snatched the gun from an assistant and shot him in the leg before leaving. He had gone to meet Tae-oh and proposed the Gold H Investment plan to Tae-oh. Geum-seok is informed by Seung-ju about the stake of Gold H Investment in Kang Oh Corporation. This stake is quite high and concerning, even for In-ha. Meanwhile, Tae-oh is acquitted by the court and is finally set free. That night, In-ha thinks about how he will surely be punished if his father wakes up, so he goes to the hospital and decides to kill him. Just as In-ha is about to remove the oxygen mask, Tae-oh appears and stops him.
