The episode opens with Vincent waking up at Lennie's apartment after a wild night at The Lux nightclub. Lennie informs Vincent that he has been fired due to his erratic behavior and addiction. Feeling betrayed, Vincent angrily storms out. Seeking answers, he confronts Jerry, the network executive, at a fancy restaurant, but his father, Robert, a wealthy real estate developer, intervenes and drags him out. Robert promises to help Vincent if he agrees to go to rehab.

Back home, Vincent's situation worsens. Cassie reveals she is pregnant with another man's child—a charity worker she has been having an affair with—and demands Vincent move out. Heartbroken and spiraling deeper into addiction, Vincent leaves and stays with his friend Lovett. There, he discovers Edgar's drawings on the wall, which form a map. Desperate to find his son, Vincent begins following the map into the subway tunnels.

Detective Michael Ledroit continues his investigation into Edgar's disappearance. He questions Misha, a nervous sanitation worker who found Edgar's bloodied t-shirt behind a dumpster, an incident caught on a neighborhood CCTV camera. As Ledroit digs deeper, he uncovers a large cocaine shipment and suspects a connection to Edgar's disappearance. His investigation takes a personal toll when he learns that his partner, William Elliot, has died of AIDS, leaving him devastated.

Ledroit discovers that Lennie was previously arrested in a club known for young male hustlers. When questioned about Edgar and another missing boy, Marlon, Lennie provides a new lead, pointing to someone who might have last seen Marlon.

Cassie, struggling with her own issues, visits her friend Cecile, seeking comfort. Cecile offers tough love, sharing their mutual anger and frustrations. Cassie confronts Vincent, expressing her long-held anger and insisting he move out, further straining their relationship.

In a dark subplot, Raya is seen talking to TJ, a man seeking a young boy for nefarious purposes. Raya agrees to help him and later ventures into the subway tunnels, revealing her dangerous intentions.

Michael, dedicated to his case files, receives a visit from Tina, who gives him the Sierra files and subtly hints at knowing about his sexuality, adding complexity to Michael's character. He learns more about Lennie's criminal history, including his arrest for promoting the prostitution of a minor, which could be crucial to solving the case.

The episode delivers a heartbreaking blow as Ledroit copes with the death of his boyfriend, William, from AIDS complications. This personal tragedy fuels Ledroit's determination to solve Edgar's case, despite immense emotional pain.

As the episode unfolds, Vincent's life unravels, intensifying his search for Edgar, while Ledroit's investigation gains momentum despite resistance from his superiors. The episode ends with a chilling cliffhanger as Raya prepares to sell Edgar to TJ and his associates, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating the next episode.
